Michael Maw

Location: Where ever needed, but predominantly Victoria and NSW.

 

Michael is a Registered Nurse and Emergency Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of clinical experience. He has a Masters in Advanced Practice Nursing and qualifications in immediate medical care from the Royal College of Surgeons (UK).  Michael is a current member of the editorial committee writing the Primary Clinical Care Manual for Queensland Health and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.  He is working as an educator in a high fidelity skills and simulation centre, and facilitating  Emergency Medicine Education and Training in a rural hospital.  Michael has been an expert examiner for Nurse Practitioner candidates at University and continues to coach individual Nurse Practitioner Candidates.  Michael is an expert reviewer of papers for the International Journal of Nursing and the International Journal of Emergency Nursing.  Whilst training on our First Aid courses, Michael also suits up as our Executive Director and RTO Manager in his spare time…!

In a prior life, Michael was also a founding Director of a Sports Medicine company (REMO) in the UK.  REMO trained healthcare professionals in the Resuscitation and Emergency Management of On-field injuries and is the premier training program for professional sports in the UK.
