Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Description

This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to provide CPR safely and effectively in a range of situations, including community, sporting and workplace settings.

Course Content:
• Respond to an emergency situation
• Perform CPR procedures
• Communicate details of the incident
• Review the incident
Practical activities will include:
- Performing CPR on a manikin
- Use of an AED on a manikin

Duration

2 hours face-to-face with pre course learning.

Entry Requirements

Participants will need to have the physical capacity to perform practical skills, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor.

Participants under the age of 18 years are required to provide a consent form completed by their legal guardian.

Qualification Requirements

Successful participants will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following units:

- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Assessment Requirements

Participants will be assessed through the demonstration of practical skills and written assessments.

Delivery Mode

This course is a combination of online/self-paced and face-to-face learning.
