He has a Masters in Advanced Practice Nursing and qualifications in immediate medical care from the Royal College of Surgeons (UK). Michael is a current member of the editorial committee writing the Primary Clinical Care Manual for Queensland Health and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. He is working as an educator in a high fidelity skills and simulation centre and been an expert examiner for Nurse Practitioner candidates at University.
